VitRails XR

VitRails (2018-2023) is a mixed reality interactive installation about the Mediterranean refugee crisis. VitRails installation, uses the metaphor of negative and positive handprints as traces inspired from cave paintings to the material other, entangling stories through a techno-anthropological gaze.

In contrast to many immersive virtual reality artworks, which privilege the sense of vision and usually completely neglect other senses, in VitRails, the participant is invited to be in constant contact with the physical world around him in order to sense and perceive the virtual.
